Beautiful, useful & ethical
Mika Chiba began her design career as a graphic designer for a printing company, and continued this vocation for over a decade. During her long term involvement with graphic design and printing industries, an interest was sparked in product design.
She pursued this new passion and returned to study. After completing her studies and with further exposure to the industry, She became dissatisfied with the immense volume of waste created with each new product, from the initial production process to the end of the object's life, and proposes a solution. Mika uses her in-depth knowledge of design, material selection and manufacturing processes to create long-term use products, which are also practical and beautiful.
